GADA does not receive any funding from the government. We depend on your donations to continue our important programs of education, support and research.

• Expedite the development of diagnostic criteria and treatment protocols for each and every genetic aortic disorder through the Montalcino Aortic Consortium (MAC)
• promote the creation of multidisciplinary aortic (MDA) clinics, centres of excellence for the treatment of all genetic aortic disorders across Canada
• provide critical medical information to patients and families affected by genetic aortic disorders (GAD) 
• continue to inform the medical community about GAD in the hope of improving diagnosis

Now you can more easily raise money for The GADA Canada and support our important programs of education, support and research.
It’s really simple. Just visit www.canadahelps.org and go to create a Giving Page. There you can create and personalize your page with a message and photo as well as setting a fundraising target which your supporters can view your progress on. You can create a Giving Page for any occasion such as a birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduation, memorial, sporting event, or even no event at all.
Once you have created your GivingPage, email your friends, family and supporters a link to your page asking them to donate. Don’t forget you can also add the link of our page to the bottom of your emails, on your signature file, website, or blog page to let as many people know as possible. Your supporters will be emailed a tax receipt immediately once you have received a donation on your page.

A memorial donation to the GADA is a thoughtful way to remember the loss of a friend or family member. GADA will acknowledge your gift by sending a card to the person you designate as well as listing the donation in the next issue of our Newslink. Another way of giving is by ordering a quantity of specifically designed cards to be placed in the funeral home.

An honorarium donation is a great way to celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday, marriage, anniversary, or simply to say thank you to someone for a special act. Honor someone special today and we will let them know of your gift by having a card sent to him or her.

There are several opportunities for companies to support the GADA. Companies can sponsor our Annual Conferences or fundraisers, donate to the Annual Christmas Campaign, match employee donations through a Matching Gift Program therefore doubling the donation to the GADA, or become a Corporate Member. Ask your employer if they would like to designate GADA Canada as their Charity of Choice.  We will show our appreciation by adding the companies name and logo in our Newslinks and on our website.

Planned giving is a special way of saying I want to leave a legacy and make sure the Association is there to help others with Marfan syndrome or any other genetic aortic disorder as it has helped me and my family. You can designate gifts through wills, life insurance policies, stocks, bonds or RRSP’s.
