First Tirone David Award presented to Dr. Tirone E. David

In 2012, the Canadian Marfan Association, (now known as GADA Canada), proudly presented the first Tirone David Award to Dr. Tirone E. David, for exemplary service and innovation and his contributions to the advances in cardiovascular surgery.

Dr. David’s developments in surgical techniques have saved the lives of so many Marfan syndrome and thoracic aortic aneurysm patients globally.
