2015 CMA - TMF Research Grant
The Canadian Marfan Foundation (CMA) is pleased to announce it's third year in partnership with The Marfan Foundation (previously the National Marfan Foundation) to support Marfan syndrome and related disorder research. Applications are being requested for a two-year grant for basic or clinical research. The grant program is designed to provide financial support for faculty investigators studying any or all disciplines involved in Marfan syndrome and related disorders. The investigator must have proven ability to pursue independent research as evidenced by original research publications in peer-reviewed journals and hold a position of Associate Professor or above. Faculty with less experience who have received an NIH R-01 grant or similar are also eligible to apply. International applications are accepted. Grant awards are based on proposal evaluation by the Marfan Foundation Scientific Advisory Board with the approval of the Foundation’s and CMA’s Board of Directors. The Marfan Foundation and Canadian Marfan Association will co-fund the two-year grant for $100,000 at $ 50,000 per year. The Marfan Foundation will fund one to two additional $100,000 2-year grants. The CMA Research Grant Program is funded by The Temerty Family Foundation.
